Indonesia in a nutshell

Our time in Indonesia has come to an end and as our last post we thought it would be fun to list our do's and don'ts of Indonesia. This list is of course based on the places that we visited during our trip. So here we go:

Best accomodation: Tropical Hideaways resort on Gili Meno (the most expensive one we stayed in Indonesia)
Worst accomodation: Banana Leaf bungalows on Gili Meno (surprise surprise, the cheapest one we stayed in)

Best room: Hotel Grand Sakura in Medan
Worst room: Banana Leaf bungalows on Gili Meno (cockroaches and mice, jaiks!!)

Best restaurant: Hai restaurant on Nusa Lembongan

Worst restaurant: Limbo on Pulau Weh

Best food: Mie Goreng for Oliver and Satay chicken for Rosanna

Worst food: Tuna steak (I guess we were unlucky)

Best fruit: Mangostine

Worst fruit: Banana

Best drink: Watermelon juice

Worst drink: Strawberry Fanta (so sweet that it makes your teeth ache)

Best beach: the beaches surrounding Gili Meno

Worst beach: Kuta beach in Bali

Best view: Sibayak volcano in Berastagi

Worst view: from our window in hotel Neo on Bali (a concrete wall)

Best city/town/village: the village on Gili Air
Worst city/town/village: Banda Aceh and Senggigi (both equally sucked)

Best island: Gili Air
Worst island: Lombok

Best bed: in hotel Grand Sakura in Medan
Worst bed: our bed in Berastagi (so soft that we couldn't sit on the edge of the bed without falling into the bed:D)

Best toilet: in Tropical Hideaways resort on Gili Meno (huuuuge bathroom!)
Worst toilet: all public toilets!
